DAWSON CITY PULLOVER KAL    Level: INTERMEDIATE    Fee: Free with purchase of supplies

dawsoncitypulloverLook cultured and comfortable in the flowery Dawson City Pullover. This circular yoke pullover harkens back to different times and traditions, but subtle refinements such as the shoulder-hugging yoke, narrow colorwork bands, and opulent seven-color palette bring this pullover from the turn of the nineteenth century all the way to 2018. This pullover is worked seamlessly from the bottom up in the round, saving the colorwork yoke for the knitter’s last, most satisfying reward. Amy is using Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok.

Note: Please confirm your needle size with a gauge swatch prior to class.

Humulus is worked seamlessly from the top down. First some Short Rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then the round- yoke is worked top down to sleeve separation. Some last short-rows are worked to finish the yoke shaping right before sleeve stitches are placed on hold, then the body is worked in rounds down to the hem. Sleeves are worked top down to the cuffs last. Laurie is using Brooklyn Tweed Shelter.
